A leading healthcare provider in Birmingham is seeking a professional secretary to support the Consultant Psychiatrist and the NMHT. The role involves managing correspondence, booking appointments, and facilitating communication within the medical team and external agencies. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and experience with data entry in healthcare systems.
Job summary
To provide a professional secretarial service to the Consultant Psychiatrist and members of the NMHT, assisting them in achieving their objectives, organising their workload, and liaising with all relevant and appropriate services. Reliable data entry into the GP PAS system such as Care First, SystemOne, Emis, and Rio computer systems will be required, ensuring a full and effective clinic system is in operation. The role includes receiving all visitors, staff, patients, and GPs' telephone calls in a polite, friendly, and courteous manner.

To act as a focal point of contact and be responsible for the dissemination of information, messages, and inquiries for the medical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members, other health professionals, staff within the Trust, GPs, social workers, service users, carers, and other external agencies.
