Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 3 Occupational Therapy Assistant for Eden PICU, a female psychiatric intensive care unit. You will help deliver meaningful activities and support a multidisciplinary team to promote health and functional recovery.

You will work under supervision to develop and implement therapeutic activities, with opportunities for training and professional growth within the Trust. Flexible hours support 7-day service needs.

Qualifications

• Experience facilitating activity-based therapy for inpatients.
• Ability to support occupational therapy staff and nursing staff.
• Willingness to work flexibly to cover 7-day service.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group activities and 1:1 sessions on Eden PICU.
• Assist qualified staff, nurses and ward manager as required.
• Contribute to development and delivery of treatment plans.
