Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting for a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to join the Mental Health Services in Guernsey, at the Tautenay Ward. The role focuses on compassionate, person-centred care for older adults with dementia and other mental health needs, within an eight-bedded assessment unit on the Bailiwick of Guernsey.

You will work with a skilled multi-disciplinary team, providing daily living assistance, maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, and contributing to progress notes and care

Responsibilities

• Assist the multi-disciplinary team in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients with a variety of mental health needs.
• Help with daily living activities and provide personal care to patients as necessary.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues to create and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for service users.
• Monitor and report on patients’ conditions and progress, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
• Participate in training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in mental health care.
