Introduction

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day‑to‑day care for patients under the supervision of a registered nurse, meeting the requirements of 'best practice' and achieving prescribed standards.
  • Work independently or within isolation, adhering to the framework agreed by the Service Manager/Ward Manager.
  • Support young people aged 11‑17 in an inpatient CAMHS setting on Kestrel Ward, including routine care and community re‑integration activities.
  • Escort patients on trips out, appointments or home leave, and manage shift patterns including night shifts.
Requirements
  • Experience and motivation to support young people in a CAMHS environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with a flexible approach to meet diverse needs.
  • Ability to work autonomously under the nursing team’s direction.
  • Welsh language skills are desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
