Job summary

Vanrath in Dungannon is seeking a Band 3 Day Care Support Worker to help adults with disabilities live independent lives. You will promote dignity, independence, and social inclusion within a supportive care setting. The role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00–15:30 on a rota.

Temporary contract with a pay of £12.75 per hour, with flexible duties and locations to meet service user needs. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to plan and deliver person-centred care, supporting

Qualifications

• NVQ/QCF/VRQ/RQF Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification
• GCSEs (grades A-C) including English and at least one year's paid care experience
• Willingness to undertake Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification within the first year
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach
• Ability to work flexibly, including Guide Help duties requiring support between 08:15 - 17:30

Responsibilities

• Contribute to person-centred assessments and care planning for service users
• Support individuals with complex health and behavioural needs inside and outside the centre
• Assist with personal and physical care, including meal support and tailored activities
• Escort service users on designated transport to ensure safe and comfortable journeys
• Report any changes in service user wellbeing and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care
