Job summary

Enva’s Colwick site seeks a Baler Operative to safely operate baling equipment processing recyclables and to maintain high standards of quality and safety. You will log production data, assist with material handling, and support maintenance tasks as needed.

The role requires awareness of health and safety practices, the ability to work in a team, and flexibility to shift patterns, including manual handling in a busy environment. Training and safety briefings are provided.

Qualifications

• Safe operation of baling equipment and adherence to health and safety protocols.
• Ability to work effectively within a team to meet production targets.
• Good communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
• Capacity to work under pressure and meet production targets.
• Basic literacy and numeracy for paperwork and records.

Responsibilities

• Operate baling machinery safely to process recyclable materials.
• Monitor baler performance and report faults or maintenance needs.
• Ensure bales meet weight, density and quality specs.
• Conduct routine inspections and keep production areas clean and safe.
• Assist with loading, unloading and movement of materials using approved equipment.
• Maintain accurate production records and complete paperwork as required.
