Comptoir Gourmand Ltd in London is seeking an experienced Bakery School Teacher or Assistant to run workshops at Maltby Bakery and other sites. You will guide students, prep classes, maintain a warm learning space and support instructors.

Roles involve teaching or assisting, ensuring safety and packaging outputs, and helping with events. Weekend and evening sessions are common, with base fees of £125 per workshop (teacher) or £75 per workshop (assistant).

Competenze

• Previous bakery/kitchen experience required.
• Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 or willingness to obtain.
• Interest in artisan bread and French patisserie.

Bakery School Teacher / Assistant Freelancer

Company: Comptoir Gourmand Ltd

Location: Maltby Bakery (98 Druid Street, SE1 2HQ) and other London Bakery sites (office-based / on‑site)Reporting to: Bakery School Teacher

Salary: Base fee depending of the role - (£75 per workshop for Assistant and £125 for Teacher)

Hours: 10 hours per week - or 2 workshops a week (mainly on weekends, evenings are possible too)

We are looking for an experienced teacher or assistant to run our workshops smoothly from start to finish. As a teacher, you will guide our students and teach them the secret of making pastries or breads. You'll support our instructors with class preparation, assist students throughout their workshops, maintain a clean and organised teaching space, and help create the warm, welcoming atmosphere that Comptoir Bakery is known for.

This is an ideal role for someone with a passion for baking, excellent customer service skills and a love of working with people.

Requirements

• Essential Previous experience in a bakery, kitchen, cookery school.
• Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or willingness to obtain one).
• Knowledge or an interest in artisan bread and French patisserie.
