Job summary

Bayne’s the Family Bakers in Kirkcaldy is recruiting a Retail Sales Assistant for the NEW Kingdom Park South shop. Shifts vary week to week, including weekends, typically 4 days from 7, with 16 hours per week and potential extra hours.\n\nYou will prepare and serve bakery and food-to-go items, set up displays, handle pre-orders and payments, stock shelves, answer customer questions and keep the shop clean.

• Previous food retailing experience or food-to-go background.
• Excellent communication skills with customers.
• Positive attitude and resilience in a fast-paced shop.
• Cash handling and using touchscreen tills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve customers with bakery and food-to-go products.
• Set up and maintain counter and window displays.
• Handle customer pre-orders and process payments.
• Take payments by cash and card on electronic tills.
• Stock shelves with products.
• Answer queries from customers.
• Advise customers on products.
• Report discrepancies to management.
• Clean the shop and facilities.
