Job summary

Bayne’s the Family Bakers in the United Kingdom is hiring a Retail Sales Assistant for the Monifieth shop. Shifts vary week to week including weekends, between 5:30am and 5:00pm, with 4 days from 7.

The role covers 16 hours per week, with additional hours possible. You will prepare and serve a range of hot and cold bakery and food-to-go products, set up displays, handle pre-orders and payments, and assist customers with queries and product guidance.

Qualifications

• Previous food retailing experience / Food to Go.
• Great communication skills.
• A positive attitude, we’ll need you be resilient.
• Cash handling experience / working touch screen tills (don’t worry, we’ll teach you).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve customers with a range of hot and cold bakery and food to go products.
• Set up and maintain counter and window displays in line with our guidelines.
• Deal with customer pre-orders and process payment and paperwork accordingly.
• Take payment for goods using electronic tills and processing by cash and card.
• Stock shelves with products.
• Answer queries from customers.
• Give advice and guidance on products to customers.
• Report discrepancies and problems to the management team.
• Cleaning of shop & facilities.
