Job summary

Coleg Cambria is seeking a talented Bakery and Pastry Chef to join our flagship Yale site, delivering homemade baked products to hundreds of students and staff. This role blends baking craft with mentoring the next generation of culinary talent within our vibrant college environment.

You will lead baking operations in our on-site bakery and coffee shop, shaping hospitality standards while aligning with education-based benefits and bilingual community engagement.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in a kitchen at a similar level.
• Passion for bakery with bread baking experience; sourdough desirable.
• Excellent knowledge of current trends in food and food production.
• Ability to determine priorities with strong organizational skills.
• Basic food hygiene.
• Able to motivate and identify development opportunities for team members.

Essential Requirements

• At least 3 years previous experience of working in a kitchen environment at a similar level.

• Passion and enthusiasm for bakery, with experience of bread baking. Experience of making sourdough is desirable.
