Job summary

DoughGirl in Wainfleet, Lincolnshire is seeking a hands-on Bakery Production assistant to weigh, mix, bake, decorate, package and dispatch products. You will work 16–38 hours per week at £13.50–£14.10 per hour and be trained to use bakery equipment and systems safely.

This practical role requires attention to detail, reliability and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in bakery production or food manufacturing is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and use bakery equipment safely.
• Strong focus on hygiene and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Accurately weigh and mix ingredients in line with recipes and production plans.
• Prepare, bake and decorate products once trained and signed off as competent.
• Package and label finished products accurately before dispatch.
• Operate bakery machinery safely and correctly following training.
• Use handheld terminals and the warehouse system to support accurate stock and product movements.
• Clean and restock the bakery area throughout the working day.
• Complete tasks efficiently and work towards agreed production targets.
• Report quality, equipment or production issues promptly.

Job description

Join our bakery production team and play a hands-on role in making, decorating, packing and dispatching the products our customers love.

Wainfleet, Lincolnshire 16–38 hours per week £13.50–£14.10 per hour

You will support daily bakery production from ingredient preparation through to baking, decorating, packaging and dispatch.

This is a practical, fast-paced role where accuracy, food hygiene, teamwork and reliability are essential. You will be trained to use bakery equipment and systems safely and help keep the production area clean, organised and stocked.

Reports to: Bakery Team Leader / Production Management

Unsuccessful applications and files are securely deleted after three months.

Key responsibilities

Working pattern

Work is normally on weekdays, with one Saturday morning shift in every six. Additional hours may be available as the company expands and during busy periods.

• £13.50 per hour during probation and training, increasing to £14.10 per hour on successful completion of both.
