Job summary

Allied Bakeries in Poole is seeking a team member for a permanent full-time shift. You will operate machinery to set parameters and follow Bakery SOPs while ensuring health, safety and environmental compliance.

You will record downtime, weight and quality checks, and production data, and respond promptly to incidents, liaising with technicians for faults. Starting rate £13.10/hr, rising to £14.35/hr with training; 39 hours weekly, rotating shifts; £500 signing bonus after 6 months.

Qualifications

• Working in a challenging and busy environment.
• Making sound and timely decisions with an understanding of when to elevate issues.
• Risk identification in relation to HSE and Food Safety.
• The ability to build effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

• To operate machinery to agreed parameters
• To work to Bakery Standard Operating Procedures
• To demonstrate personal accountability within the site and ensure that all Health, Safety & Environmental requirements are met.
• Follow all Quality systems and procedures to ensure our products meet food safety (HACCP), legal and customer requirements as well as maintaining external standards e.g. BRC, IFS, Femas.
• Ensure that all downtime, weight and quality checks, waste and production data is recorded consistently and accurately.
• Immediately respond to incidents of production downtime and liaise with the technicians for technical faults.
