FBC UK is seeking a Controls and Systems Engineer for our Kirkham bakery, responsible for maintaining, repairing, modifying, and installing electrical/electronic systems across site operations. The role includes backups, obsolescence planning, and development of electrical controls for reliable equipment and continuous improvement.

Formación

• HNC/TEC level in electrical/electronic engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years post-apprenticeship experience in process/manufacturing or similar engineering environment.
• Knowledge of I.E.E electrical wiring regulations and Electricity at Work Regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Manage risk and removal of obsolescence.
• Ensure up-to-date backups of PLC programmes.
• Maintain supported programme for VSDs (Programme and Obsolescence).
• Support fault repair and efficiency improvements on plant and machinery.
• Record control faults and remedial actions; follow up work.
• Ensure adherence to company standards, procedures, hygiene and safety rules.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Manager to ensure compliance and plant efficiency.
• Assist production management and respond to breakdowns related to controls.
• Provide on-call support outside normal hours to ensure equipment availability.
• Assist other trades within the engineering function.
• Work with other departments and contractors while maintaining safety.
• Ensure personal safety and that of apprentices/contractors.
