Job summary

First Call Contract Services Limited at Stansted Airport is seeking a baggage operative to assist with the loading and unloading of passenger baggage in and around the baggage facility. Bags typically weigh 10–20 kg and duties include safe handling and accurate processing.

Shifts follow a 4 on 4 off pattern (with possible changes) and 5 days out of 7. Start date is September 2026; adherence to health and safety policies is mandatory, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow work & safety rules.
• Ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions.
• Ability to count accurately and to perform simple math calculations.
• Have appropriate hand, eye and foot coordination to effectively use mechanical handling equipment.
• Ability to move product which may require bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and/or lifting, in line with H&S regulations.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load baggage from carts/vessels into lifts to be delivered to the baggage arrivals area for passenger collection, bags can weigh anything from 10-20kg.

• 13.81£/ h
