Job summary

Sofina Foods is seeking General Operatives to join our production team in Scunthorpe. You will work with experienced leaders to uphold safety, efficiency, and product quality across a fast-paced environment.

This role emphasises reliability, teamwork, and willingness to grow within a leading food business. Thursday to Saturday shifts run 6am–6pm with enhanced weekend pay, and an onsite canteen and parking are provided.

Qualifications

• Familiar with retailer product standards and quality expectations.
• Trained in basic food hygiene or willing to complete this training.
• Organised, reliable, and attentive to detail.
• A strong team player with a positive and proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Handle raw sliced bacon and identify different cuts such as prime and neck end.
• Load raw bacon into Multivac machinery with speed and accuracy.
• Pack finished products neatly and in line with customer specifications.
• Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring labels, seals, and packaging are intact.
• Take ownership of housekeeping in your area, maintaining our clean‑as‑you‑go policy.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across the production floor.
