The Shift Manager role reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the daily shift operation in a cost-effective and productive manner. The role ensures service levels align with Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators, effectively managing colleagues to meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the warehousing operation for the shift, ensuring effective and accurate sortation of goods.
  • Ensure all activities comply with company policies in a safe and proactive manner.
  • Manage costs and performance of the shift.
  • Lead and engage a team to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Manage performance, conduct, absence, engagement, and training of team members, holding them accountable to departmental and company standards.
  • Monitor KPIs, identify actions, and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Provide shift summaries and handover records, detailing and addressing any exceptions.
Essential Criteria
  • Previous experience in the logistics or distribution industry.
