Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with scalable backend systems and APIs in Java.
• Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, and messaging queues.
• Understanding of modern architectures, design patterns, and API release processes.
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Experience with testing concepts in SDLC and Agile environments.
• Proactive, ownership-driven and able to work in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Own parts of product and technology within multidisciplinary teams.
• Write simple, extendable code following standards; test thoroughly.
• Design software components with maintainability and clear APIs.
• Participate in code reviews and establish coding standards.
• Document software to aid future maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects, providing solid customer support.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment and adapt to change.
