Backend Software Engineer / Developer (C# .Net SQL) *London onsite* to £180k+

Are you a talented Backend Software Engineer with a strong academic background? Join a Hedge Fund managing over $17 billion, working on complex systems that challenge your skills.

As a Backend Software Engineer, you'll collaborate with a team of skilled technologists and finance professionals to develop algorithmic trading systems using a modern tech stack, with opportunities for technical ownership from day one.

You will partner with Quant teams to design valuation, risk, and pricing systems, delivering high-performance, scalable streaming compute operations. You will have access to the latest equipment and learn from industry experts in global finance.

Location / WFH:

This role is based in London (Soho) in offices offering facilities like nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Please note, this is a full-time, office-based role (Monday to Friday).

About you:

• Outstanding academic achievement: minimum 2.1 in a STEM discipline from a top-tier university (Russel Group or top 100 global university), with A grades at A-level.
• Advanced C# .Net skills, including .Net Core (considering candidates with Java, Python, or C++ backgrounds willing to transition to C#).
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases.
• Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns, and Algorithms.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with good business acumen, eager to take ownership and lead projects.
• Collaborative, problem-solving, and idea-sharing attitude.
