Job summary

Albert Bow Limited in London is seeking a backend-focused Senior QA Engineer / SDET to drive quality across complex trading systems. This is not a UI-heavy automation role; you will test backend services, APIs, microservices and databases, ensuring accuracy and reliability in production.

You will own test strategy, build robust automation frameworks using Java, REST Assured and TestContainers, and embed testing into CI/CD within a regulated financial environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive backend testing and API test experience.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot knowledge.
• Hands-on REST Assured and TestContainers experience.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing in production-like environments.
• SQL data validation and complex queries.

Responsibilities

• Drive QA and automation strategy across backend trading and financial-services systems.
• Build and maintain automated API and service-level test frameworks using Java.
• Test Spring Boot applications, microservices and complex business logic.
• Develop integration tests across APIs, databases, messaging systems and downstream services.
• Embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support reliable releases in a regulated environment.
