Job summary

Anaplan is building the backend for its Syrup platform and forecasting solutions. You will develop core backend services and data processing components in Python, ensuring reliability and testability while collaborating with data scientists and ML engineers to deploy models.

You will work within the Predictive Intelligence engineering team under the Director of Engineering, contributing to scalable production services and data pipelines across forecasting and AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial professional software engineering experience building backend services.
• Strong proficiency in Python with well-structured, tested production code.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL (e.g., Postgres).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerized services (Kubernetes).
• Understanding of ML/AI systems in production and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and data processing components across the Predictive Intelligence stack.
• Contribute to forecasting, scoring, and data processing services delivering predictive insights with attention to performance and reliability.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable Python and follow engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to integrate models into production services and support pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and grow through feedback.
