Job summary

QuantumLoopAI is seeking a Full Stack Engineer (Backend Heavy) to join our India-based development team. You will own core backend infrastructure and APIs powering EMMA, while collaborating with our UK-based teams.

This is a hands-on role with responsibility for scale, security and performance across the stack. You will design, build and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js/TypeScript/NestJS, and craft React/Next.js UI components to complement backend capabilities.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of experience building scalable backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Frontend experience with React/Next.js and TypeScript is a plus.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL endpoints is expected.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop and optimise scalable backend services in a microservices setup.
• Build responsive UI components with React/Next.js to complement backend work.
• Design and optimise MySQL databases for high performance and availability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Docker.
• Write clean, well-documented code and perform thorough code reviews.
• Collaborate with UK-based product and engineering teams to align on requirements.
• Mentor teammates on backend/frontend development best practices.
• Promote secure coding practices and robust API security.
