Freetrade is hiring a Backend Software Engineer to join the Backend Engineering squad in a hybrid model with offices in London and Budapest. You will develop high-quality Node.js/TypeScript software for a scalable trading platform and work closely with product managers to drive key features and metrics.

You should have 2+ years of professional software engineering experience, a passion for quality code, and the ability to solve complex problems with a collaborative team.

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Collaborate openly and share knowledge with teammates.
• Maintain high code quality and be open to feedback.
• Able to work through complex problems independently or with the right help.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality software within agreed timelines, addressing complex problems and evaluating trade-offs.
• Deliver scalable and maintainable backend solutions for the product.
• Work closely with the Product Manager to drive feature development and KPIs.
• Participate in on-call duties and respond to high-priority issues.
