Job summary

Anaplan is seeking a Backend Engineer for the Predictive Intelligence team in the UK. You will build backend services powering Syrup and Anaplan’s forecasting and predictive solutions, working with data scientists and platform partners.

You will write well-tested Python, manage data pipelines, and ensure performance and reliability across services. Experience with databases, cloud platforms, and ML-informed production workloads is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial experience building backend services.
• Strong Python production code writing skills.
• Experience with relational databases and data warehousing.
• Familiarity with containerized services and cloud platforms.
• Basic understanding of ML/AI production workloads.
• Version control using Git.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs across the Predictive Intelligence stack.
• Contribute to forecasting, scoring, and data processing capabilities.
• Write clean, tested Python code following engineering standards.
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to integrate models.
• Participate in code reviews and on-call rotations.
