Job summary

Mettle in the United Kingdom is seeking a Back End Engineer to join our core cross-functional mission teams. You will build and develop Mettle's backend, delivering clean, scalable code and contributing to high-impact solutions.

You will work with Java, Spring Boot / Micronaut, and cloud tech, collaborating with stakeholders to drive product direction while upholding standards and mentoring peers.

Qualifications

• Strong background in software engineering and system design.
• Solid knowledge of Java and frameworks (Spring Boot / Micronaut).
• Experience with microservices and cloud deployments.

Responsibilities

• Develop clean, reusable, well-tested backend code.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align engineering with customer needs.
• Uphold backend standards and promote technical innovation.
