Job summary

Client Server is seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer to work on a HealthTech project. The role focuses on Kotlin, Java, Spring Boot and AWS, with Greenfield development and security-focused architecture.

You will collaborate with the CTO on design and architecture, work across the stack, and enjoy a hybrid work model with London office access and periodic client visits. Salary up to £120k plus equity and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Expertise with software engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle and tech stack.
• Experience with Kotlin, Java, Spring Boot and AWS.
• Solid understanding of APIs and permission-based systems.
• Knowledge of software architecture and building systems from scratch.
• Ability to assess, recommend and make technical decisions with long-term product strategy in mind.
• Strong technical project leadership and experience of working with clients.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline.
• Experience with RBAC systems would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on with architecture, design and coding across the full stack including complex business logic and security.
• Collaborate with CTO on overall design and architecture of the products' tech stack.
• Develop and work on Greenfield applications.
• Contribute to beta product development and ensure scalable systems.
• Liaise with clients to gather requirements and guide bespoke product development.
