Job summary

Teya is building a financial platform for local businesses across Europe, combining simple tools, thoughtful design, and real human support. As a Software Engineer in our London-area team, you will contribute to payments processing, core banking, and merchant lifecycle management, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable software.

You will own features from design through deployment, learn new technologies, and help improve code quality and operational

Qualifications

2+ years of professional software development experience.
Proficiency in Java or Kotlin; experience with multiple languages is a plus.
Familiar with OOP principles, data structures and algorithms.
Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases.
Experience with Git and version control.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience in Agile/Scrum development.
Ability to work in a fast-paced team and independently.
Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and test clean, efficient code for business needs.
Own features and small projects through design, implementation, testing and deployment.
Collaborate with product, design, and operations to understand requirements.
Build tools and integrate systems to boost efficiency and product effectiveness.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Learn and apply new technologies with support from senior engineers.
Troubleshoot issues and contribute to process improvements.
Document technical decisions for stakeholders.
