Job summary

BPM Tech is looking for an experienced Back End / Cloud Developer to join a growing technology team and help build scalable, secure and reliable cloud-based applications. You’ll focus on back-end development and cloud infrastructure, collaborating with front-end developers to deliver robust services and APIs.

You’ll design scalable back-end services, REST APIs with Node.js and TypeScript, and serverless apps on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB).

Qualifications

• Proven commercial experience with back-end development.
• Strong knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience building REST APIs and cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on AWS serverless and NoSQL data modeling.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and automated tests.
• Understanding of OWASP security principles.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing scalable back-end services and APIs.

We're looking for an experienced Back End / Cloud Developer to join a growing technology team and play a key role in building scalable, secure and reliable cloud-based applications.

You’ll focus on back-end development and cloud infrastructure, working closely with front-end developers and wider technology teams to design and deliver robust services and APIs.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Designing and developing scalable back-end services and APIs
• Building and maintaining REST APIs using Node.js and TypeScript
• Developing serverless applications using AWS
• Working with services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3 and DynamoDB
• Designing and implementing effective NoSQL data models
• Contributing to cloud architecture and technical design

About You

You’ll ideally have strong commercial experience with:

• Serverless architecture
• NoSQL and data modelling
• CI/CD
• Automated testing
• Cloud security and OWASP principles
• Git
• Agile / Scrum

We're looking for someone who understands how to build secure, scalable and maintainable cloud applications, rather than simply having experience with individual AWS services.

You should be comfortable taking ownership of technical problems, working collaboratively with other developers and contributing to architectural decisions.

Salary & Working

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 depending on experience

Hybrid working, with 1-2 days per week in London and flexibility for UK-based candidates.
