Kindred Education Ltd in Orpington is seeking a Senior Baby Room Specialist to lead the two-years-and-under baby room. You will guide practice, supervise staff, and educate parents on early development while ensuring a safe, stimulating environment and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a full Early Years Level 3 qualification, experience with under-two children, strong communication, and leadership capability.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Early Years Level 3 Childcare Qualification (or higher)
• Experience working with children aged under two
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
• A commitment to providing outstanding customer service
• Desirable experience in a leadership or senior role
• Paediatric First Aid Certificate
• Safeguarding and Child Protection training (full training provided)
• Food Hygiene Certificate

Responsibilities

• Support, educate, and guide staff and parents on baby development and milestones
• Promote and model best practice in attachment, bonding, and emotional development
• Model and monitor safe carrying and handling of babies
• Work closely with your team to create a shared vision for the baby room
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
• Supervise, support, and allocate tasks and responsibilities within the team
• Support new starter inductions, welcoming them into the Kindred family
• Carry out supervisions, one-to-one meetings, and performance management where required
• Deputise in the absence of senior management
• Conduct nursery tours confidently with prospective parents
• Act as a key holder for the nursery
• Keep accurate records and ensure procedures are followed in line with regulatory requirements

Job description

We are excited to introduce a brand-new senior leadership position within our nursery in Orpington, Bromley, Greater London, United Kingdom. This Baby Room Specialist role has been created for someone with in-depth knowledge and understanding of baby development and behaviour, and a genuine passion for supporting children aged two years and under. This is a unique opportunity to shape and develop this leadership role, sharing your expertise while helping to build an outstanding baby room environment. You will play a key role in guiding practice, supporting your team, and educating parents on the incredible early development journey of babies.

What You’ll Be Doing

Salary: £14.80 - £15.50 per hour (£31,020.80 - £32,488 per annum, full-time equivalent)

Recruitment Process
