Job description

Kido is a place where innovation and imagination unite to create modern Early Years settings. We’re looking for a Room Leader to join our team at Kido International Nursery & Preschool Greenwich, 65 Banning St, London SE10 0YH.

We are an international organization operating in India, USA, and the UK. In the UK, all our nurseries are rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted, based in London and Windsor. We are growing rapidly, opening 1-2 new nurseries each year! Our curriculum blends practices from Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf Steiner approaches, serving children aged 3 months to 5 years. We believe in a mix of free and structured play, engaging environments, and loving care to build a strong foundation for children’s early years. The Room Leader role offers a salary up to £31,000 for a 40-hour week. Benefits include:

Role Responsibilities

As a Room Leader, you will:

  1. Own your room’s learning outcomes, creating inspiring experiences for children.
  2. Lead and support your team to meet each child’s needs, planning engaging activities aligned with EYFS and Kido curriculum.
  3. Support educators in observing, assessing, and setting goals for children.
  4. Model excellence and ensure standards are followed, fostering team growth.
  5. Utilize indoor and outdoor spaces to promote curiosity and exploration.
  6. Communicate effectively with parents, children, and colleagues.
  7. Assess and record children’s progress, celebrating achievements.
  8. Create a nurturing environment respecting each child's background and needs.
Candidate Requirements
  • Level 3 childcare qualification or higher (see qualifications list).
  • Aligned with our core values: Listen, Learn, Lead.
  • Experience as a Level 3 Educator, with previous leadership roles preferred.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Willing to undergo DBS check and provide details of unspent convictions as part of our Safer Recruitment process.
