Job summary

ACR Recruitment & Training Ltd is seeking a Baby Room Leader for a welcoming nursery in Leamington Spa. The role is permanent, full-time (40 hours per week) with a salary of up to £14.75 per hour.

You will lead a dedicated 12-place Baby Room, deliver high-quality care under EYFS, mentor staff and build strong relationships with parents and colleagues. A supportive team and ongoing professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years qualification (UK recognised).
• Experience in a UK nursery setting.
• Experience in a senior practitioner or room leader role is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• A caring, enthusiastic, and professional approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the team within the 12-place Baby Room.
• Deliver high-quality care and learning in line with the EYFS framework.
• Create a warm, safe, and stimulating environment tailored to babies' needs.
• Act as Key Person, supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing.
• Plan engaging activities that encourage early development and exploration.
• Complete observations, assessments, and learning records accurately.
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.
• Support, mentor and motivate team members to maintain high standards of practice.
• Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are followed.
• Contribute to maintaining a positive, inclusive, and child-centred nursery environment.

Key Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

• Level 3 Early Years qualification (UK recognised) - essential


• Previous experience working within a UK nursery setting


• Experience in a senior practitioner or room leader role is desirable


• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development


• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills


• A caring, enthusiastic, and professional approach


• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
