Job summary

Cherubs Nurseries in Mapperley, Nottingham, is seeking a Qualified Early Years Educator to bring energy, creativity and care to every day. You’ll join a family-run group that values development pathways, safeguarding, and a warm welcome for children and parents.

You’ll work with our Childcare Team, keep environments safe and engaging in line with EYFS, attend training, and help plan activities indoors and outdoors. Applicants must have right to work in the UK and be DBS checked.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Childcare Team to provide an amazing service for our children and families.
• Ensure the children’s environment and your nursery is kept safe, secure and clean at all times ensuring safeguarding policies are adhered to.
• Be a role model for the children at all times, whilst demonstrating best practice to your colleagues.
• Give parents and carers a warm welcome and concise handover at the end of the day.
• Complete Nursery In A Box for all your key children, ensuring you meet targets and provide detailed and relevant accounts for each child, underpinned by the EYFS.
• Take pride in your room and nursery, ensuring it is presented well with organised resources, engaging displays with an inviting layout.
• Attend both in-house and external training, as required. Some of this may be outside of working hours, for example on a weekend.
• Assist in the thorough planning and successful delivery of a variety of activities (both indoor and outdoor) to maintain the children’s interests and to ensure the development of all children in-line with their own needs.
• Attend all staff events including parents evening, staff meetings and summer fairs, some of these may be out of hours and on weekends.
