Job summary

Cherubs Nurseries in Ruddington is seeking a Qualified EY Educator to bring energy, creativity and care to every day. You will join a family-run group that values community life and continuous development for staff and children.

Cherubs Ruddington is a rural 55-place nursery outside Nottingham. Being a car driver is essential to join this established outdoor/forest-school team and support our communities.

• Qualified Early Years Educator with energy, creativity and care.
• Cherubs Ruddington requires a car driver to be part of the team.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the childcare team to provide an amazing service for children and families.
• Ensure the children's environment and nursery is safe, secure and clean, safeguarding policies followed.
• Be a role model for the children and demonstrate best practice to colleagues.
• Greet parents with a warm welcome and provide a concise handover at the end of the day.
• Complete Nursery In A Box for key children, meeting targets and providing detailed accounts under EYFS guidelines.
• Maintain a well-presented room with organized resources and engaging displays.
• Attend in-house and external training, sometimes outside working hours including weekends.
• Assist in planning and delivering a variety of indoor/outdoor activities to support development.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Work as part of the Childcare Team to provide an amazing service, for both our children and families.


• Ensure the children’s environment and your nursery is kept safe, secure and clean at all times ensuring safeguarding policies are adhered to.


• Be a role model for the children at all times, whilst demonstrating best practice to your colleagues.


• Give parents and carers a warm welcome and concise handover at the end of the day.


• Complete Nursery In A Box for all your key children, ensuring you meet targets and provide detailed and relevant accounts for each child, underpinned by the EYFS.


• Take pride in your room and nursery, ensuring it is presented well with organised resources, engaging displays with an inviting layout.


• Attend both in-house and external training, as required. Some of this may be outside of working hours, for example on a weekend.


• Assist in the thorough planning and successful delivery of a variety of activities (both indoor and outdoor) to maintain the children’s interests and to ensure the development of all children in-line with their own needs.


• Attend all staff events including parents evening, staff meetings and summer fairs, some of these may be out of hours and on weekends.
