This is an exciting opportunity to join the University of Nottingham’s Institute for Professional and Work-based Learning at a pivotal stage of growth. You will play a key role in supporting the expansion of our Apprenticeship and Professional Development portfolio by delivering targeted, insight-led B2B marketing activity.
Working as part of a collaborative and delivery‑focused employer engagement team, you will be central to supporting the end‑to‑end employer (B2B) journey, from initial engagement and lead generation through to nurturing, conversion and ongoing pipeline development. This is not solely a campaign‑led or brand marketing role; instead, the focus is on executing high‑quality, targeted activity that drives employer engagement and supports B2B recruitment outcomes.
On a typical day, you will contribute to the delivery of multi‑channel B2B marketing activity, including email campaigns, digital content and targeted outreach aligned to priority sectors and audiences. You will support segmentation, list management and prospecting, help coordinate lead capture and tracking, and ensure timely and effective follow‑up activity in collaboration with recruitment and employer engagement colleagues. You will also assist in developing marketing assets and messaging that support employer decision‑making and progression through the pipeline.
A key part of the role is maintaining a strong link between marketing activity and recruitment performance. You will monitor engagement and conversion data, support reporting, and contribute to continuous improvement of the B2B journey, ensuring a consistent, insight‑led approach across all touchpoints.
You will also support the delivery of online and in‑person events designed to engage prospective and existing employer partners. This includes coordinating promotional activity, overseeing registrations and follow‑up communications, and ensuring events contribute effectively to lead generation and relationship development. Through these touchpoints, you will help build and nurture employer relationships, supporting progression through the B2B pipeline and enhancing the overall employer experience.
You will join a friendly, integrated team that works closely with academic colleagues and central services to support sustainable apprenticeship growth. Collaboration is central to the role, with a strong emphasis on aligning marketing delivery to recruitment priorities and pipeline needs.
