Job summary

MTS Recruitment Limited at Stansted Airport, near London, is seeking a licenced Aircraft Engineer B1/B2 for AOG and line maintenance. You will certify maintenance inputs, support rapid AOG recoveries, and work across base and field environments to return aircraft to service safely and to regulatory standards.

The role requires a valid EASA Part-66 B1 or B2 licence, MOE familiarity, and strong leadership, communication, and safety mindset.

Qualifications

  • Valid, unrestricted EASA Part-66 B1 or B2 licence.
  • B2 licence must include electrical systems privileges.
  • Recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship.
  • Current or recent experience on relevant aircraft types.
  • Engine ground run approval or ability to obtain.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and MOE procedures.
  • Ability to remain current on required aircraft type ratings.

Responsibilities

  • Certify line and AOG maintenance activities within scope of licence privileges.
  • Provide rapid response support for AOG events, including short-notice travel.
  • Ensure all maintenance is carried out in line with regulatory and company standards.
  • Act as a professional representative of the company to aircraft owners and customers.

  • Take responsibility for AOG response equipment, tooling, and vehicle readiness.

Salary: £65k plus + Overtime

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated B1 and B2 Licensed Engineers to join our dynamic Engineering team at Stansted Airport. This is a key role supporting both line maintenance and AOG (Aircraft on Ground) operations, ensuring aircraft are returned to service safely, efficiently, and to the highest regulatory standards.

As an Aircraft Engineer

You will be responsible for the certification and delivery of aircraft maintenance inputs in accordance with current regulatory requirements and company MOE procedures. You will play a critical role in AOG recovery support, base maintenance activities, and ensuring operational readiness at all times.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements as an Aircraft Engineer
  • Valid, unrestricted EASA Part-66 B1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence
  • B2 candidates must hold electrical systems privileges
  • Recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship
  • Current or recent experience on relevant aircraft types
  • Engine ground run approval (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and maintenance procedures (MOE compliance)
  • Ability to remain current on required aircraft type ratings
