Job summary

MPI Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced aircraft maintenance technician to join its winter programme, focusing on modifications and electrical/avionic work on Boeing 737 variants and 787s.

You will carry out installation of new systems, wiring looms, terminations and component installation, plus testing after rebuild and fault finding to isolate issues. DBS/GSAT, safety training, and relevant certifications are required or to be obtained.

Qualifications

• General electrical and avionic experience relevant to aircraft systems.
• Ability to fault find and test complex systems.
• Willingness to commit to a full winter season.

Responsibilities

• Carry out modifications of aircraft systems including installation of new systems and removal of old systems.
• Fit new looms and wires into existing looms, perform terminations and component installation.
• Systems testing post rebuild and post-modification.
• Troubleshooting of complex systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
• Ensure compliance with required safety training and certifications for the season.

Daily Activities

• Carry out modifications of aircraft systems such as installation of new systems and deletion of old systems. This included fitting new looms and wires into existing looms, terminations and component installation.
• Systems testing post rebuild.

Scheduled maintenance tasks

• Troubleshooting of complex systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components
• A full airside pass will be required 5 years work history / DBS / GSAT

Ideal candidates

Ideal candidates will have general electrical and Avionic experience. Possible modification on each aircraft moving from one to the next and need to be able to commit to the whole season.

They need to be able to fault find and test.

Candidates with a workshop background would be considered as well as those working on aircraft.
