Job summary

MPI Limited is seeking skilled Aircraft Mechanics for day shifts at Luton Airport. On-site role with a 47.5-hour week, Monday–Friday, 07:00–17:00. Rates: £38.34/hr umbrella / £29.27/hr PAYE. Start in Sept 2026, duration through May/June 2027.

Qualifications

• Certifications required: Safety Training, EWIS 1&2, SFAR 88 1&2, Diisocyanates Training.

MPI have a requirement for Skilled and Experienced Aircraft Mechanics to work days on site at Luton Airport. Rate: £38.34 per hour – Umbrella/£29.27 per hour PAYE. Hours Monday - Friday 07:00 - 17:00, 47.5 hrs pw. Half hour unpaid lunch. Start: Sept 2026. Duration: Until May/June 2027. These roles are deemed in scope of IR35. No personal tooling is required as this is controlled by the company on-site.

Duties:

• Performing heavy base maintenance/'C' checks on aircraft

Experience required:

Ideal candidate will have 10 years + experience on Boeing Fleet along with the following:

• Experience in carrying out major Hangar Work
• Able to work unsupervised
• Good Hand Skills
• C Checks
• Landing Gear removal and refit
• Changing Brakes
• Fault Finding & Rectification work on systems hydraulics and pneumatics/air con APUB

Because this role is based airside, if selected, the candidate would have to undergo a Full Airside Pass. This entails having to reference the individual for the last 5 years of employment/education. A Criminal Record Check (CRC) would also have to be obtained from any country resided/worked in for 6 months or more within the last 5 years.
