Job summary

easyJet is hiring a B1 Licensed Engineer at Gatwick (LGW) to maintain the A320/A320neo fleet, performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and defect rectification with strict adherence to aviation standards.

You will work under Duty Engineers or Supervisors, ensuring safe, on-time departures and accurate maintenance records while using up-to-date tools and documentation. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and hands-on engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• You must already hold a UK CAA Part-66 B2 Licence with an A320 type rating.
• Up-to-date knowledge of airworthiness legislation.
• At least three years’ operational experience in a line maintenance environment.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and confidence using IT-based reporting and recording systems.
• Clear communication and teamwork under operational pressure.

Responsibilities

• Exercise licence and approvals across scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, defect rectification and release-to-service activity.
• Review jobs and resources, set clear priorities for colleagues, supervise others and ensure proper tools.
• Keep maintenance records accurate and timely; check certification and condition of replacement parts; report delays and defects through proper channels.
• Record deferred defects and leave clear verbal and written information for the next shift.
• Support safe, on-time departures and contribute to safe, reliable aircraft operations.
