Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a skilled B1/B2/C licensed Aircraft Technician to join our aerospace client’s team in the UK. The role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and overhaul work on Bombardier business aircraft, with responsibilities ranging from engine runs to supervising junior staff.

Candidates should hold UK CAA and/or EASA Part-66 licenses, be type-rated on relevant Bombardier models, and demonstrate current recurrent training. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

  • Hold UK CAA and/or EASA Part-66 Aircraft Technician License: B1/B2/C.
  • Type-rated on Bombardier Challenger 300/600 and Global series (preferred).
  • Up-to-date Part-66 Appendix I knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Part-M and Part-145.
  • Experience of at least 6 months maintenance in any 2-year period.
  • Understanding of human factors and performance limitations.
  • EWIS and CDCCL knowledge where relevant.
  • Experience on at least one aircraft type for each licence sub-category in last 2 years.
  • Current on all recurrent/continuation training.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Proficient with standard tools and ground handling equipment.
  • Ability to work with maintenance data and report defects.
  • Proficient in using information systems.

Responsibilities

  • Signing off base maintenance tasks in support of Certifying Staff Category C.
  • Maintenance at off-site locations.
  • Assist in providing time estimates.

Job Requirements
  • Holding a UK CAA and/or EASA Part 66 Aircraft Technician License: B1 and/or B2 and/or C
  • Type-rated on relevant Bombardier Business Aircraft Types including Challenger 300's, Challenger 600's, and Global series (preferred)
  • Up-to-date basic knowledge requirements of Appendix I to Part-66
  • Knowledge of Part-M, Part-145 and other relevant regulations
  • Experience in at least 6 months of actual relevant aircraft or component maintenance in any consecutive 2-year period
  • Understanding of human factors, human performance, and limitations
  • Knowledge of EWIS and CDCCL when relevant
  • Experience working on at least one aircraft type for each licence (sub) category over the last two years
  • Current on all training requirements (recurrent/continuation training)
  • Ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings
  • Effective communication skills in both written and verbal forms
  • Proficiency in using standard tools, special tools, and operating ground support equipment
  • Ability to work in accordance with maintenance data and notify relevant functions of any defects or errors requiring rectification
  • Proficiency in using information systems (computer skills)
