Job summary

Gama Aviation Plc at Luton Airport seeks a B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer for its Mobile Service Team. The role covers rapid response maintenance across the South of England with occasional worldwide travel, performing certifications and supporting line maintenance.

Qualifications include UK Part 66 B1 licence with type ratings (560XLS or 680/680A), excellent communication, and flexibility to travel on short notice. Competitive salary plus benefits and ongoing training provided.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted UK CAA Part 66 B1 Licence with at least one type rating.
• Extensive line/base certifying experience, ideally in mobile support/AOG.
• Willingness to travel on short notice and to work at multiple sites.
• SMS, QA and audits awareness and compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Certify Line Scheduled and Unscheduled/AOG maintenance on mobile service units and line stations.
• Coordinate Line and AOG events within a small team; ensure timely completion.
• Ensure MST vehicle is provisioned, clean, and ready for service before leaving shift.
• Comply with GAEL MEO, EASA/CAA requirements and health & safety policies.
• Adhere to Staff Handbook and maintain quality standards across operations.
