Job summary

JMC Aviation is seeking a B1.3 Licensed Field Engineer (Rotary) to perform maintenance, inspections and fault diagnosis across the UK. The role includes travel to customer bases, certification of tasks, and maintaining records in line with CAA and company procedures.

Ideal candidates will hold UK CAA Part 66 B1.3, have rotary wing experience and be willing to travel. Training opportunities and a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• UK CAA Part 66 B1.3 licence mandatory.
• Experience in field maintenance and AOG support.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and work away from base.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspections, fault diagnosis and rectification.
• Travel to customer bases throughout the UK to provide support.
• Certify maintenance tasks within licence scope and company approvals.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and technical records.
• Work with Engineering and planning teams to ensure service quality.

About the Role

On behalf of our client, an established rotary maintenance and support organisation headquartered in Northampton, we are recruiting for B2 Licensed Engineers to assist with maintenance activities. Known for being a reputable and established rotary provider, the organisation is looking to grow its maintenance department, providing additional training opportunities as well as flexible working hours.

Key Responsibilities

The Role:

• Perform maintenance, inspections, fault diagnosis and rectification of aircraft both with the hangar at Sywell and at customer locations.
• Diagnose and rectify aircraft defects efficiently and safely.
• Travel to customer bases throughout the UK to provide engineering support.
• Certify maintenance tasks within the scope of your licence and company approvals.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
• Complete accurate maintenance and technical records.
• Work collaboratively with the Engineering team and planning to deliver exceptional customer service.
• UK CAA Part 66 B1.3 Aircraft Maintenance Licence
• Strong knowledge of rotary wing maintenance practices
• Excellent troubleshooting and fault finding skills
• Willingness and flexibility to travel regularly and work away from the base when required, sometimes out of hours.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK
• AW109/169 type ratings – type rating courses are available
• Experience in field maintenance and AOG support
