Job summary

Airbus Helicopters UK Ltd is seeking a UK CAA Part 66 B1.3 Licensed Aircraft Engineer for RAF Shawbury, Shropshire. You will report to the Base Maintenance Manager and support the MFTS operation, delivering serviceable aircraft for the daily flying programme.

You will ensure regulatory and company compliance, perform inspections and maintenance across airframes, engines, and avionics, supervise fitters, and assist in hangar operations. A strong team ethic and flexible approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid UK CAA Part 66 B1.3 Licence must be held.
• Thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems.
• Experience in an Aviation engineering environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Self-motivated and able to work under own initiative.
• Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• Flexible to company needs and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver serviceable aircraft to meet the daily flying programme requirements.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and company procedures.
• Perform maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by Supervisors.
• Complete maintenance to a high standard for safe operation.
• Carry out maintenance on airframes, power plants, mechanical/electrical/avionics systems.
• Supervise maintenance fitters and certify their work.
• Assist in hangar operations, aircraft movement and housekeeping.
