Job summary

Doherty Associates is seeking a senior Azure Virtual Desktop consultant in the UK to design, deploy and optimise enterprise AVD environments. You will translate client objectives into secure, scalable cloud solutions and lead workshops across the full project lifecycle.

The role emphasizes hands-on delivery, strong governance, and collaboration with stakeholders, Project Managers and security teams. AVD, Entra ID, and DevOps practices are core to the work.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience designing and delivering Azure Virtual Desktop solutions for enterprise or complex environments.
• Proven experience delivering client-facing consulting engagements in a B2B setting, incl. workshops and design reviews.
• Strong understanding of Entra ID, CA and authentication for cloud/hybrid.
• Solid Azure networking: VNETs, routing, private connectivity, DNS, hub-spoke/landing zones.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and optimise enterprise Azure Virtual Desktop environments, including host pools, session hosts, profiles and image management.
• Translate customer requirements into secure, scalable, and supported AVD designs.
