Job summary

RSM UK is seeking a Technical Solution Architect to ensure Azure-based solutions are sound, secure, and aligned with architecture standards. The role sits within the Enterprise Architecture function and spans technical architecture, solution design and solution assurance across a federated UK model.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience designing and delivering solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Ability to read and assess application code, infrastructure-as-code and pipeline configuration (C#/.NET, Python or Terraform).
• Strong knowledge of Azure landing zones, networking, Entra ID, RBAC, Key Vault and Azure Policy.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, release controls, threat modelling, secure development, resilience and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain technical reference architectures and standards across Azure platform and data services.
• Evolve the shared Azure platform including landing zones, private connectivity and identity management.
• Produce solution designs, options appraisals and Architecture Decision Records with clear trade-offs.
• Review in-flight solutions against standards and guardrails using IaC, pipelines and artefacts.
• Translate business needs into end-to-end designs covering components, data flows and hosting.
• Track findings and deviations, and provide assurance input to the Architecture Review Board.
