Job summary

HelloKindred in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Azure Platform Engineer to lead hands-on design and operation of an enterprise Azure platform. You will set technical standards, own policy/governance, and drive automation across CI/CD and IaC while partnering with cybersecurity and application teams.

The role emphasizes deep Azure expertise, leadership across platform engineering, and delivery of secure, scalable cloud solutions. Hybrid work model with office presence required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience engineering Azure platforms in production at scale.
• Deep knowledge of ARM, RBAC, managed identities, and the Azure Policy engine.
• Apply expert PowerShell skills to production automation and tooling.
• Experience with Azure networking including VNets, NSGs, private endpoints and hybrid connectivity.
• Proven ability to design, implement, and govern large Azure environments and to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Azure platform underpinning a large web estate.
• Implement Azure Policy and governance controls and remediate drift.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines with automation.
• Develop reusable PowerShell modules for provisioning and operations.
• Lead technical investigations across infrastructure, network, and application layers.
• Produce clear technical documentation for engineers and stakeholders.
• Provide technical authority on Azure engineering practices across the team.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and raise overall capability.
• Collaborate with platform, application, and cybersecurity teams to deliver secure solutions.
• Evolve the Azure platform with principled recommendations and standards.
