Job summary

Forsters LLP is seeking an experienced Azure Platform Engineer to establish and modernise our core Azure environment, building serverless components, SQL workloads, and platform governance across Development, Applications and Security teams.

You will author architecture guides, self-service blueprints and operational handbooks to enable secure, efficient deployment of applications. This role will shape CI/CD patterns and adopt a practical, scalable Azure platform.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining Azure serverless and PaaS services.
• Strong IaC background with Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates.
• Secure by design mindset with knowledge of Key Vault and certificate management.
• Experience collaborating across Development, Applications and Security teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and maintain Azure serverless components and hosting models.
• Oversee Azure SQL Databases and Managed Instances including backups and performance.
• Manage certificates, TLS/SSL and secrets using Key Vault with automated rotation.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure risks in coordination with Security.
• Provision resources with IaC and governance aligned to CAF.
• Monitor platform health using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application Insights.
• Develop self-service infrastructure blueprints and deployment environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD strategy and pipeline roadmaps using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Support incident response and platform improvement initiatives.
