Job summary

Be-IT Ltd is seeking a hands-on Platform & DevOps Engineer to join a small, skilled cloud team supporting a cloud-first financial services environment. You’ll operate Azure platforms, manage AKS workloads and drive automation across CI/CD, IaC, and observability.

You’ll collaborate closely with software engineers, architects and wider tech teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable services, while influencing platform evolution and developer experience in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Microsoft Azure environments.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience, ideally Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Experience deploying, operating and troubleshooting containerised applications.
• CI/CD pipeline development using GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or similar tooling.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience with Docker and Helm.
• Scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash and/or Python.
• Experience with monitoring, logging and observability tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with developers, architects and wider technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain and enhance Azure-based cloud platforms and services.
• Manage and operate containerised workloads running within AKS.
• Build, deploy and troubleshoot applications across development, test and production environments.
• Design, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve platform adoption and developer enablement.
• Implement and enhance monitoring, logging and observability capabilities.
• Support reliability, resilience and operational excellence initiatives.
• Contribute to engineering standards, reusable platform services and automation frameworks.
• Investigate and resolve complex platform, deployment and application issues.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
