Job summary

MCS Group is proud to partner with an established financial services organisation in London to hire a Senior Platform Engineer. This hands-on role focuses on Azure platform engineering, IaC, Kubernetes and GitOps, with full ownership from requirements gathering through to production delivery.

Hybrid role with 2 days in the London office. You will design, build and maintain cloud-native Azure infrastructure, develop Terraform modules, manage AKS clusters, implement ArgoCD or Flux, and help drive

Qualifications

• Production experience with Terragrunt and Terraform including reusable modules.
• Production Kubernetes / AKS experience with cloud-native infrastructure.
• Experience implementing GitOps using ArgoCD or Flux.
• Strong Azure networking and identity knowledge including Entra ID, RBAC and Private Endpoints.
• Experience designing multi-subscription or multi-tenant Azure environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain cloud-native Azure infrastructure.
• Gather technical requirements and own solutions from design to production.
• Build and manage multi-subscription or multi-tenant Azure environments.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Design reusable Terraform modules, remote state, locking and environment separation.
• Build, configure and manage Kubernetes / AKS clusters.
• Implement GitOps practices using ArgoCD or Flux.
• Design and manage Azure networking including VNets and Private Endpoints.
• Implement identity, access and governance using Entra ID, RBAC and Azure Policy.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Work with engineering, product and QA teams to support reliable delivery.
• Enhance platform reliability, security, observability and performance.
• Drive DevSecOps, SRE and automation best practices across the platform.
