Job summary

TrueNorth® in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an Azure Infrastructure Lead to guide a major cloud transformation. The role focuses on Azure infrastructure, compute, networking and shared services, with hands-on work and strategic direction.

You will mentor an existing engineer, design an actionable roadmap, and drive terraform-based infrastructure across VNets, VMs and security features while collaborating with security and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure networking, VNets, VMs, DNS and NSGs.
• Technical leadership or architecture experience.
• Experience taking work from discovery and design through to implementation.
• Terraform experience, Azure infrastructure security experience or cloud-refactoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction of the Azure cloud-hosting environment.
• Create and prioritise a practical infrastructure improvement roadmap.
• Design and deliver Azure infrastructure through Terraform.
• Improve networking, security, resilience and operational automation.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical direction to stakeholders.
