Job summary

Peaple Talent Ltd. in Bristol is seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer to design, build and scale cloud platform foundations with a core focus on Azure, delivering robust CI/CD and secure infrastructure.

The role requires 4+ years of DevOps experience, strong Terraform IaC skills, and GitHub-based pipelines. You will implement landing zones, Zero Trust networking, FinOps, monitoring, and AI workload support, while mentoring IT Ops and Software Engineering teams in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on DevOps or infrastructure automation experience.
• Strong Terraform experience for reusable IaC modules.
• Hands-on CI/CD pipelines experience, primarily with GitHub.
• Solid Azure experience (landing zones, networking, Zero Trust) or AWS/GCP equivalent.
• Understanding of ITIL/ITSM and software development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of FinOps, monitoring/observability, and security controls.
• Desirable: AI/data workloads or Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Azure landing zones and central platform patterns.
• Develop and maintain IaC modules using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with Software Engineering on AI workloads and AVD environments.
• Implement monitoring, Zero Trust networking, and FinOps practices.
• Provide technical guidance to upskill IT Ops and Software Engineering teams.
• Participate in a monthly server maintenance window.
