Job summary

Freeths in Nottingham is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join a multi‑year transformation from on‑prem to a hybrid cloud estate. You will work with Azure, private cloud IaaS, and a refreshed Fortinet network while aligning with security and regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, support 24/7 on‑call rotations, and contribute to runbooks, governance, and migration activities as the team accelerates cloud adoption across the firm.

Qualifications

• AZ-104 Azure Administrator certification.
• Experience with Fortinet technologies.
• Exposure to AI-assisted tooling for infrastructure deployment, monitoring, or support.
• Experience with PowerShell and Bicep.
• Experience within a legal, financial services, or other regulated environment.
• Knowledge of VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or other private cloud technologies.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Intune within an enterprise environment.
• Working toward AZ-104 Azure Administrator would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Azure infrastructure including VMs, VNets and NSGs.
• Assist with management of Azure and private cloud IaaS environments.
• Contribute to cloud migration, testing, cutovers and post‑migration validation.
• Document infrastructure and support governance standards.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure security, regulatory compliance and incident response readiness.
